Earn Rewards when you Shop San Joaquin.

San Joaquin County’s Employment and Economic Development Department (EEDD) is proud to launch Shop San Joaquin, a program designed to help the retail and hospitality industries recover from the impacts of the pandemic. This initiative encourages residents to support local businesses by offering rewards for shopping locally.

How It Works

  • Download the App: Get the free Open Rewards: Shop Local app from Google Play or the App Store.
  • Sign Up: Create an account to start earning rewards.
  • Shop Locally: Visit any eligible small business listed in the app—restaurants, retailers, or hospitality businesses.
  • Upload Receipts: After making a purchase, upload the receipt to the app or link your credit card for automated rewards.
  • Earn Cash Back: Receive 100% cash back rewards on your purchases (up to $50 per transaction), which can be redeemed at participating businesses.

Key Details for Shop San Joaquin Program

Eligibility

Only small, independently owned businesses (fewer than 500 employees) operating in retail, food and beverage, or hospitality sectors in San Joaquin County are eligible. Businesses must have been established before January 1, 2020, and cannot be part of a corporate chain.

Reward Cap

Earn up to $200 in rewards each year.

Participating Businesses

Over 1,625 small businesses are currently listed in the app.
